Many tutoring services rely on college students. Every one of our tutors is a qualified teacher who teaches, or has taught, DP mathematics at an international school.
Lessons prepare students for every part of the course: Papers 1 and 2, Paper 3 at HL, and the Internal Assessment.

A message from our founder
I started MYP Math Tutor in 2022 to help students understand what the IB is really asking of them. DP Math Tutor grew out of that work, because so many of our MYP families asked us to stay with their child into the Diploma Programme.
We have seen how hard DP mathematics can be. All four courses, AA and AI at SL and HL, are rigorous in their own way, the pressure is real, and students who were doing well can lose their footing in the first term.
What makes the difference? One-to-one support from a teacher who knows the DP from the inside, and a rapport that makes it safe to ask the question a student would never ask in class. Every one of our teachers has taught DP mathematics in an IB classroom for several years.
The outcome? We have watched students come a very long way: from dreading the subject to understanding it, with the confidence to take on Paper 3 or the Internal Assessment on their own terms.

Both DP math courses: Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA) and Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (AI), at Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL).
Lessons follow what you are learning at school, in AA or AI, at SL or HL. Your teacher checks what you already know, explains new topics until they make sense and practices exam-style questions for each paper. When the time comes, lessons also cover the Internal Assessment.
Our tutors are qualified teachers who teach, or have taught, DP mathematics at international schools in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.

Yes. The Internal Assessment (IA) is a mathematical exploration worth 20% of the final grade. Your teacher can help you choose a workable topic, plan the structure and present the math clearly. The exploration must be your own work, so we guide the process and never write it for you.
