Getting started

How It Works

  • The same teacher every week
  • Cancel with 24 hours’ notice
  • Stop at any time

Three Steps to Weekly Lessons

  1. Schedule a first lesson, or book a free chat

Start straight away, or talk to us first. Tell us your child’s year level, school and the times that suit you.

  2. We match your child with the right IB teacher

Based on your child’s year level, time zone and availability. You can request a preferred tutor.

  3. Weekly one-to-one lessons online

Your First Lesson: What to Expect

Everything that happens between booking and your child’s first lesson, step by step.

Before the first lesson

  • Register for Teachworks using the email invitation
  • Have an iPad or writing tablet ready, if you can
  • Email your tutor the syllabus, current work or upcoming assessments
  • Look out for the Lessonspace link six hours before the lesson
  1. After you book

    Two emails arrive

One confirms your child’s first lesson date and time. The other invites you to register for Teachworks, our scheduling platform.

  2. In Teachworks

    Everything in one place

See upcoming lessons and your balance, message your tutor, and reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before a session.

  3. Before the first lesson

    Get set up

We recommend an iPad or a writing tablet such as a Wacom One. Email your tutor your child’s syllabus, current work or upcoming assessments so lessons can be tailored.

  4. Six hours before each lesson

    Your Lessonspace link

Click the link in the email, or open the lesson in Teachworks and choose “Join Online Lessonspace”.

  5. In the first lesson

Meet the tutor and set goals

The tutor introduces themselves, reviews the materials you’ve shared, starts on key topics and sets personalized learning goals with your child.

  6. At the end of each month

    One simple invoice

Payable within 14 days through our secure payment platform.
